I created a podcast to guide our 3rd - 5th grade students through the selections of books that are cataloged using the Dewey Decimal system. The students can listen to the podcast as they walk along the shelves located along the left wall in our media center. The intention of the podcast is for students to become familiar with where certain items located on our shelves.

I really liked your podcast in particular as well as the whole idea of a walking tour for 3rd-5th graders. My 3rd grader was listening with me and he told me that he didn't know about the sections on jokes and geography. He asked, "Can I learn about China there?" Apparently, they find it easier just to pull books off the shelving cart than to navigate the volume of books on the shelves.
